How To Advance Your Search Engine Ranking

The ways to advance your search engine ranking is to some, like pulling out hair and biting their nails. If you have been confused to the point of throwing up your hands in utter disgust, please wait, all hope is not lost. Settle down, take a deep breath, and exhale because it is not really as bad as you thought. Stand up on your feet, square your shoulders look your webpage dead in the eye and let it know the time for a change is come.

Search Engine optimization is vital for getting traffic to your website. Who can afford the high price tag that comes with the pay per click advertising of your website. This price can run up into the hundreds of dollars for a single campaign. Through the process of using search engines such as: Google, Yahoo, and MSN, people will find your website on the internet.

If you want to attract targeted visitors coming from all over the world, then it is high time to optimize your web pages that are on your site. This will help your ranking in the search engines. Remember that competition is fierce, so targeting the right keywords that are not sought after the most, but a keyword that is less sought after, is more advisable till you get some steam behind you.

Here are some things you need to do to your web pages to get them optimized. When these things are finished you will start to see substantial results in the search engine rankings. First thing is your title of your homepage. This is what you see on the bar when you first bring up your site. You need to make sure your keyword or words that you are targeting are in your title.

Make sure that the title makes sense and has your keywords in it.
Try not to use long titles or phrase, between seven and ten is plenty. This must be done on every page of your website for a different keyword you are targeting. The more pages and keywords that are optimized the more the traffic you can pull. If you have one hundred pages or two hundred pages, make sure they are optimized.

Also have your keyword sprinkled through out your text. Make sure that each paragraph starts out with your targeted keyword and once is plenty in each paragraph. Bolding, italicizing, and underlining a keyword on each page is great to do. Do this only once and if you have a picture that is related to your keyword then name the .jpg or .gif the keyword. Try to use keyword density of about seven percent per page.

When it comes to content of your page and you are putting in keywords make sure it is readable and enjoyable. No one likes to read a bunch of "hogwash and horse feathers" that does not make sense. Remember the old saying still stands tried and proven that "Quality is better than Quantity" any time.

Next, your last sentence on your page should also have the keyword mentioned also. Also if you have a copyright you can cleverly put it in the copyright on the last line. You can also add a few keywords in your meta tag code. Some think you must do this, so put a few in there too.

Last but very important is what is deemed as "Off Page Optimization". This is getting other people to link to your site by exchanging links or one way links. This is perhaps the most important part of optimization that others forget. The less links, the less the traffic to your site. The more link popularity the better the ranking in the search engines. In closing, be sure you stay away from sites that have been banned by the search engines, for they only hurt you in ranking. The best links are the ones with high page rank in the search engines.
Treat your business like any other business and work hard at getting as many quality links and on page optimization, you will be rewarded with the traffic you deserve.

Leisure Audio Books is working for me as I write!

I recently became a member of Leisure Audio Books, and I want to share my humble opinion with you today.

This is like nothing I have ever experienced before, I was shocked to find that is totally unique, never seen before, and I believe it to be revolutionary, and I'll explain why.

It's almost always necessary to invest thousands of dollars to get an offline business off the ground. However, on the Internet you can often start a successful business for less than $100.
